Hardesty to Release New Album in Jamaica

RHardesty CD Front CoverRich Hardesty, The Jamerican, launches his latests album in Kingston Jamaica on Bob Marley’s 71st birthday, February 6th, 2016. Hardesty will mark this iconic moment by performing at the Bob Marley Museum with local Jamaican musicians and reggae artists.

The album boasts some of Jamaica’s most talented artists, like Bongo Herman, Julian Marley, Sly Dunbar, Anthony Cruz, Dean Fraser, Derrick Lara, Isha Bell and Ervin “Alla” Lloyd. Hardesty has also brought Rasta Zilion, Jamaican now living in Indiana, to collaborate on the album as well.

“I can’t believe how this album has come together. I have no means of describing how this all came to be… the only explanation I have is fate, and universal laws of attraction. I believed this album into life.”

— Rich Hardesty

Hardesty will spend the better part of six days traveling Jamaica on a mini-tour to Negril, Good Hope and Kingston. He plans to, most importantly, reconnect with the best part of the island, the people. Along the way he will play for locals, meet with various media outlets and get in a number of photoshoots. Hardesty will be also be traveling with his publicity and film team to capture this benchmark moment for his ongoing documentary project.

Hardesty Takes Jamaica by Storm

Beach time and cocktails are the furtherest thing from Rich Hardesty’s mind as he travels the Jamaican landscape this week. He returned to land of reggae to record with Capleton on a song collaboration that began last month, and what has transpired this week…. has gone beyond expectation.

“Things are exploding down here,” Hardesty says. The collaboration has brought Anthony Cruz into the project “Freedom Revolution” and Rich’s visit to the island is getting mass global press coverage.  BOJ TV, A global cable and online reggae hub, has been following Rich from recording studio to palm tree capturing his thoughts on what it is to be an international reggae artist. The Jamaica Observer, has also been following Hardesty’s ever move in the country… from his travels to small towns to recording in Kingston.

Rich has plenty of updates for all of you in the coming weeks about the releases of new music, concerts and endeavors…. so stay tuned for his arrival home (while short lived) to get a full dose of feel good!

Here are some shots from the road!
